About Renato Queiroga
My name is Renato Queiroga. I am 29 years old, I am Brazilian, and I live in the countryside of Paraíba, Brazil. I am married to Raissa Mirelly, I am a Christian, a musician, and a language teacher since 2018. I write this site in three languages — English, Portuguese, and Spanish — because I believe knowledge should not be limited by language.
I hold a degree in Languages (Spanish) from the Federal University of Paraíba, and I am currently studying Systems Analysis and Development at Unicesumar. I studied English for five years and worked as an English teacher at CCAA (Centro de Cultura Anglo-Americana), one of the most established language schools in Brazil. I am also a language student myself — English and Spanish — which means I know what it is like to read a text in a language that is not your first.
Renato Queiroga is where I share reflections and self-paced courses on personal growth, neuroscience, learning, and technology. I do not invent results, testimonials, or personal experiences. My goal is educational: to help people think more clearly and ask better questions.
As a teacher, I have always believed that knowledge should be accessible. That is why everything on this site is free — the reflections, the courses, and the interactive tools. There are no paywalls and no sign-ups. If the content helps you, you can support the project, but you never have to.
How to use Renato Queiroga
Renato Queiroga has two sides: reflections (short posts) and courses (self-paced text lessons). Everything is free, with no sign-up and no paywall. Here is how to get the most out of the site.
Interactive tools
- Quiz: test your understanding at the end of a post or course. Free. Passing a quiz gives you coins (see below).
- Concept map: a visual overview of the content. Available on many posts, opens in a modal.
- Download (PDF): a clean PDF of a post or course. It costs 10 coins — coins you earn on the site, not money.
Coins, achievements, and your profile
Reading, quizzes, courses, badges, and small tools earn you coins and unlock badges (families: reader, coin, quiz, and explorer — the last for visiting site pages and completing courses). Coins are symbolic: they have no monetary value, are not crypto, and cannot be exchanged. Everything lives in your browser (localStorage) — no account, no email, no sign-up.
How you earn coins: claiming the reading reward on a post, passing a quiz (+5) and getting a perfect score (+3 extra), completing a course (+10), claiming a badge (+5), creating a checklist (+1), saving a note (+1), and finishing a focus timer session (+1). Some of these have a daily limit (5 per day).
How you spend coins: unlocking the PDF of a post or course (10 coins) and unlocking the concept map (5 coins). Both are permanent: once unlocked, that PDF or map opens without spending again, in any of the three languages. Sharing a post as an image (story or post format) is free.
Your profile also stores your reading history, favorites, "Continue reading" list, notes, checklists, and focus timer. You can clear your history at any time from the profile.
Preferences
You can switch between light and dark themes at any time (the choice is saved). Posts show a "✓ Read" badge once you finish them; courses show "✓ Completed" when every lesson is done. Favorites (★) and the "Continue reading" list help you pick up where you left off. Your profile also includes a focus timer and multiple checklists, all stored locally in your browser.
Sharing
Every post has share buttons in the actions bar: story (vertical, 1080×1920) and post (horizontal, 1200×630). Select any excerpt of the article before clicking, and the card will include that excerpt. The link to the page is copied to your clipboard. The same bar also opens the concept map, the notes, the PDF, and the quiz.
Posts and courses: free education
Posts and courses are fully free and educational. They include interactive tools (quizzes and concept maps) that track your progress. Courses open in a modal, with progress saved lesson by lesson — so you can close the tab and come back later without losing your place.
Music while you read
The Music section has selected tracks for focus, relaxation, and concentration. The player is persistent: it keeps playing while you navigate the site, so you can read a post with the same background track.
